Graphic Designers and Students who have a keen interest in typography (16-40 years of age).
BACKGROUND
Typography is a powerful and flexible tool for designers. It has power to evoke the right voice and make things seem easier to understand. I have tried to design an engaging book on the impact of type on our feelings and senses.
DESIGN PROBLEM
To design a book for graphic designers and students. To explain in details the rules of good typography with the help of great visual hierarchy to guide the readers in relation to the subject of type. I have build this book in the order of importance by providing them with visual cues through the use of color, font, size, alignment and style.
DESIGN PROCESS
I researched on the rules and aspects of typography and realized that at the end it’s all about keeping the reader’s attention on your content. In order to understand this better i have explained using the following contents; how to create cohesive character sets, what is type anatomy, how to create a good type setting keeping in mind the rules of typography, how to build a good visual type composition, type classifications and a bit knowledge about the Swiss designer Max Midinger who has been my inspiration in designing this type book.
