BACKGROUND
Magic Chef is a company specializes in compact and small kitchen appliances.

 DESIGN PROBLEM
The project is about redesigning its logo, icons and infographic for its luxury range of kitchen appliances.

DESIGN PROCESS

First thing first, I studied the companies website in order to understand the logo they had been using for years and the emotion and strategy behind it. I also researched the kind of clients would be involved in order to make a great sell of these appliances. I started the process of logo redesign by researching a lot over the current trends and modern styles which helped me a in my design process. After understanding the nature of the company I realized i wanted to stick to their strong color pallet but with a little tweak in its hues. I ended up making a very modern, clean and stylish logo which solved their problem.

I wanted to create pieces that flowed together and could easily be found on a website and so I focused on icons related to seamless and modern design. And I made sure the colors worked printed out as well as on the Internet. I had never created icons before so it was interesting to look over website & printed materials for icons I was drawn to. I love the look and feel of hand-drawn & bespoke work, and wanted to express that with my icons. I first started with my icons, sketched about 50 icons on paper and picked my favorite 15 and then narrowed down to the final 9. 

I then played with them in Illustrator
using the pen tool. At first I only had the black lines, but I researched more and realized it’s the world of seamless design and so I tweaked it till I reached to the point of satisfaction. From there I worked on my infographic, this was a process of sketching, looking for inspiration online, and getting feedback. I worked with the colors and spacing quite a bit to make sure it felt easy to read and fun to look at and attract the consumers.
